Corporate events are a fantastic way to show off your company brand while establishing your event brand. This is your chance to show the users of your product or service who your company is through an amazing event for them. But for my company, for the first time, our corporate event was only for us, employees. Here is how my medium enterprise company took us to a Sentosa beach bar for Christmas.
Christmas is a season that spreads happiness and we were all excited, my department even more. People in my company set aside the sorrows and problems they have faced throughout the year, and take the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy life. This occasion that our company decided to throw is best celebrated with others. In fact, the happiness of Christmas increases the more we share our delight with our near and dear ones. This includes even our employees and work colleagues.
We have a large number of corporate events for Christmas parties before held every year to allow all our co-workers to share the fun and excitement of Christmas. However, nothing like this happened before that was why we always appreciate it when our superiors take their opportunity to show their appreciation to us. We worked together throughout the year, and it is just right that all of us should share some moments of joy and happiness at Christmastime.
But without the usual corporate Christmas catering, we worry that our company’s Christmas party won’t be enjoyable for anyone espcially since there are oldies in the mix, however this is the part where Sentosa corporate events proved everyone wrong.
I honestly thought they would be too tired or too frail to even enjoy themselves at the beach. But no. They found their own activity to enjoy, I guess everyone really does need a break once in a while.
Sentosa’s beach bar culture isn’t anything new. Whether you’re more into stoically nursing your hangover with high-end brunch fare or ready to party by the pool all day while nibbling on barbecue, or even ready to take your corporate events to another level, the beach bar options have never been more varied.
I think I have found something better than live music, great company and the duck pizza at that I used to enjoy at another beach restaurant in Singapore. It is live music, great company and duck pizza at Coastes! I completely forgot that it is only a Christmas party for my company. It felt like a vacation! We were all down when the music and party started blaring. Me and my teammates never felt so free from the gaze of our bosses. Though, we know they were there, we just cannot seem to stop dancing.
Like they said, you’d find love when you least expect it, and true enough, I fell in love with the food at Coastes despite going there for just a corporate event. A night on the beach with good food, jazzy live music, sea breeze, and feet in the sand – this brings “chill” to a whole new level. Do not worry, their food didn not steal away the limelight from the music. Well, not all of it because the Live music is totally different from music on Youtube or any concert goer would tell you that. And this live performance by The Jeremy Monteiro & Stephen Francis connections is a cut above everything. Not only do they play amazing Jazz through flute solos and syncopated drum beats, the performance was also complete with dancers! With a mix of modern songs and old classics, the performers managed to keep a fun vibe throughout the night. And this guy below ? His vocal range is insane, and he hits all the high notes with precision.
Located right next to the Sentosa beach bar, there is this restaurant which is the perfect place to eat, frolick in the waters, then eat again. What could be better? I mean, besides not getting that bikini bod. But seriously, the duck pizza is worth every calorie. Also, according to the staff, you can see the fireworks every night from your table due to the nearby ongoing show, and that we did. What an amazing decision by the HR and Admin, finally. I love my job.
With deck chairs and daybeds right on the sand, Coastes is a casual, affordable option for when you cannot be bothered with the glitz and glam of other people. The pizzas, pastas, burgers and summery cocktails do the trick, for something heartier, there's breakfast plates, ribs and seafood too. It is everything that you'd ever dream of for a quick escape from the everyday grind.
